The African Men for Sexual Health and Rights [AMSHeR] wishes to appoint a suitable qualified individual to the position of Senior Coordinator, Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management
AMSHeR is a coalition of 18 MSM and LGBTI-led organisation in 15 African countries. AMSHeR works to address the disproportionate vulnerability of MSM to HIV, discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and to strengthen the capacity of African MSM and LGBTI organisations to engage in effective HIV programming and advocacy on these issues.
The incumbent will be based at the AMSHeR office in Johannesburg and his or her responsibilities will include:
a. Formulating and overseeing the implementation of AMSHeR’s monitoring & evaluation and knowledge management strategy
b. Developing supporting systems and procedures for AMSHeR’s monitoring & evaluation and knowledge management unit
c. Provide direct M&E and knowledge management support to AMSHeR’s member organisations and affiliates as requested
d. Ensuring compliance with M&E requirements of AMSHeR grants and donor liaison in that regard
Eligibility Criteria –
a. Strong human rights orientation
b. Mid-career professional with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
c. At least 8 years experience of working in monitoring and evaluation in the health or human rights sector
d. Ability to develop reporting systems to meet donors’ requirements
e. Proficiency in English. Working knowledge of French is highly desirable
f. Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team
