Dear KM4Dev-ers,
We are excited to tell you that one of the events organised by the Sudanese Knowledge Society has culminated in a co-edited book entitled: “Networks of Knowledge Production in Sudan: Identities, Mobilities, and Technologies” that came out this month by Lexington Books. The book was co-edited by Sondra Hale and myself.
The symposium that this book built on was held in February 2015, and it took us just over a year to assemble an array of contributions from Sudanese and Sudanist scholars. The volume explores the theme of the book from a wide range of political, social, and technical perspectives.
We are sending you three links that can give you a pretty good advance idea of much of the content. Although in the first Google link (a Preview) you can see a lot of the pages as you scroll down, many pages are hidden. Just keep scrolling down. From the Table of Contents you can have a good picture. The second link gives you some more information, but is also a good reproduction of our lovely cover, with art work by Tahir Bushra. The third link is the information about our book on the Lexington/Rowman & Littlefield website, offering discounts, etc. The discount is 30%. If you are a contributor, the discount is 50%. Attached are the blurbs, but also discount coupons for you to order.
