KM is a concept which is often misunderstood and taken for granted but  a shift in the economy, has now placed knowledge at the centre  of development. There is no need for me to even go into detail  about the role knowledge plays in development  because the fact that we  can now engage in such platforms speaks volume.  Knowledge  based economy thrives were there are  clear procedures  on how  knowledge is to be managed and its imperative that  the significance it plays in development  is magnified as a way of ensuring that those that are still overlooking  it are given a wake up call.
