Oxfam International is currently recruiting for an Intranet Manager. Oxfam International is a confederation of 14 independent, non-governmental organizations working together with over 3,000 partners in 99 countries to achieve our vision of ‘a just world without poverty’. Our Secretariat is based in Oxford, with advocacy offices in Washington DC, New York, Brussels and Geneva.

We’re all very excited about our brand new global knowledge base, ‘SUMUS’. Working in close liaison with the Head of Digital Communications and senior management team, you’ll shape its future development as a high quality, reliable and user friendly internal communications and collaboration platform, more than capable of meeting the changing needs of the organization. You’ll also promote the many advantages of ‘SUMUS’ to the Secretariat, affiliate users and project teams, while developing appropriate business and communication tools.

Your experience of managing a large intranet has given you a good understanding of the dynamics of web based internal communications and collaboration within a multidisciplinary global organization like ours. You’ve also developed skills as a talented negotiator, team builder and manager of both projects and budgets, as well as a collaborative and diplomatic approach. We’ll take it for granted you’re highly computer literate, but the ability to learn new applications will be just as essential. Experience of developing online communities a definite plus.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Oxford, UK. Candidates must have the legal right to be employed in the UK.
