Dear “African Community Week” Participants,
Thank you once again for showing your interest. It is now a high time that you start and be well in the buddying process. As you know the main online event is on Thursday, march 28 (1pm-4pm EAT) which makes the three days (Mar. 25-27) extremely important to start and keep rolling the buddying process; have discussions on suggested topics listed on our wiki; and document important insights on the topics. All information about the event on;
http://wiki.km4dev.org/African_KM4Dev_Community_Week
The first topic, “how to make KM4Dev a more helpful community of practice” is considered as a very important topic and we expect our participants to come up with important insights on the it for the main online event. You can make documentation of insights as a “word document” or directly document them on the wiki.
For those participants who didn’t already start the buddying process and who are members of other African KM4Dev networks please start the buddy up with members in KM4Dev Addis Ababa/Ethiopia to make it more interactive with the host network.
enjoy,
Elias
KM4Dev Addis Ababa is organizing an “African KM4Dev Community Week” for all members of KM4Dev across Africa (i.e. all Africans or other people working in Africa).
The community week consists of:
- A buddying process (where two people from different KM4Dev African communities connect, share experiences and learn about each other, their KM interest/work and perception of how KM4Dev could be made more useful to them (1)) which will culminate in one intensive week from March 25-29 2013
- A three-hour synchronous event (using online video-conferencing facilities) on 28th of March (1PM-4PM EAT), 2013 where we will share our perspectives and propose some ways forward to make KM4Dev a more Africa-friendly community
The buddying and conversation will be useful to share ideas, insights & resources on some topics and to document insights which will be brought back in the main online event on 28 March. Topics which might be relevant for the buddying could include:
But of course any topic that members think relevant can also be shared during the week. So the main event will be used as group platform to bringing together the experiences from the buddying conversations.
